Here I am. I am here? Yes I am.
Okay we are back from our holiday, needless to say it was amazing! Sorry about the nil posting but I decided to do a family only holiday blog and that was all I could manage while on the road!
I feel like it was all a dream though and I think because we made so many changes so quickly, moving house and then the trip I just haven't caught up and may not for a long while yet. Moving to a new city (even though we know Sydney well and used to live here) is really really a lot of work. It's like an opportunity to start over in a way, get things how you want them because you are starting from scratch, so I have been thinking thinking thinking, "How do I want 'things' to be?". By things I mean, routines, schools, housing, transport, family life etc.
While away we took about 4000 photos on three different cameras that all need to be sorted. There are lots of art galleries, museums, the zoo, Manhattan etc. Here is a couple of shots around Brooklyn which was such a cool place to stay...
Our street at night
and during the day
at the park
walking 'home'.
Don't worry I'm not going to bore you with post after post of holiday snaps! But if anyone is planning to go to NYC with kids I'm happy to give any advice I can. I do recommend it.
So coming up, I need to dust off the Bernina, I have just been given a scanner so I am way too excited to do some drawing, scanning and printing, Mia received a silk screening set up for Christmas and as soon as we convert our bathroom into an art studio I should have some wonderful art to show off!
For those of you who are still reading my blog, please excuse my neglect and know that I love you.
